Cokrea is an online platform designed to promote collaborative work in educational environments. It was created as part of the InventCat project, which is one of the actions of the PECT "Girona, social and digital innovation facing the challenges of the new millennium" (PR15-019188).
 
In Cokrea, teachers can join social-themed challenges with their classes, which are paired with each other. The students of these classes then, divided into teams, present themselves in a blog, investigate the social issue of that challenge, publish their findings and exchange opinions and ideas. When all this work has happened, the teams co-create digital stories with Scratch (each paired with another team from another center), which they must first design and then program. All this through an iterative process that is being shared over the Internet.
 
Cokrea and InventCat are initiatives led by members of the UdiGitalEdu research group and the TEKHNÉ Chair at the University of Girona.
